The Silent Wave
Two minutes, one finger, one line.
And suddenly your child breathes more quietly than you've ever heard.
"Take a deep breath" and chill rarely works with kids. They gulp a big rush of air through the mouth, pull their shoulders up, and afterwards nothing has changed.
The Silent Wave works differently. Your child traces a wavy line with one finger. Up the wave: breathe in. Down the wave: breathe out. Always through the nose. The waves get smaller, and so do the breaths, until only a whisper of air is left. No explaining, no arguing. The sheet shows what to do.
